Body
The Governing Body provides institutional oversight in accordance with the University Statutes.
Guided by statute.
Serving the university.
The Governing Body shall consist of members as described in Statutes.
The Registrar shall be the Member Secretary of the Governing Body.
(i) “Nomination by the Governing Body”, The Governing Body may nominate qualified, experienced person as per clauses of Act. The nominated person must have contributed their expertise, scholarship, innovative practice in their respective field, in the opinion of the Governing Body.
(ii) “Nomination of Deans by Rotation” shall be made by the President considering the various disciplines and schools of University and Departments within over all seniority.
The Governing Body act may for the purpose of consultation in distinct fields cited above, invite any person having special knowledge or practice/ experience, to the meeting when the relevant matter is being considered. The person/s so invited shall be entitled to travelling allowance and sitting fees as per University’s norms.
